Dont Believe The Hype!

Friday night was one of the most anticipated ones I've had in a while. After working a 5-10:30 shift it was off to Jersey City. After scooping the wife, Me and Big L made our way for HUFQUAKE air maxes. The camp, from 12am to 12pm. We of coarse were first on line and as store opening hour came around the line grew from 3 to 30. Only 10 pairs were stocked and we walked out with 3! I don't know how anyone else made out but I did my thing with the 90 and Big L with the 1. We both in the end ended up with 2 pairs while Lionel walked out with both the 90 and 1, I came home and found my ALIFE pair waiting for me and got another pair of the 90. The hours were worth it and I couldn't have asked for anything different.. Shouts to Boo Boo and Big L for the big W!

REMINSE OVER CALI BLUES

In light of all the talk on San Fransisco and Huf it is amazing how much releases and news we've been hearing from them in the last couple of weeks. Well Ive got more and this is branched to the guys at True in SF and Estate LA with this collaborated Halloween pack. You are probably use to me saying "pack" from the past sneakers that have been planned dropping but this pack is packed with something different. It includes a T-shirt and fitted cap. The pictures say it all and the holiday it pays its homage too. The fitted just recently released last week and will be re-released the week before halloween with the T-shirt to "match".

FITTED TO THE T

For my HUF fans I know you expected to see a matching fitted cap to the HufMax 1 and 90 release today. Well If you were then you were thinking ahead and HUF has already beat you to it. The cap will only release at Huf along with the release today of the Air Maxes. As you might be able to tell the ascent colors on the sneakers are the same placed under the brim of the hat and also is covered with the fame quake pattern as the shoes. My San Fransisco connects should start popping up now.!!

GRADUATION

Its not often I break into talk on Air Jordan but in this case I think it is appropriate. For all the OG Jordan fans who are upset with poor retros, bad colorways, Z-GRADE general releases, and bizarre fakes that everyone in your hood has; this is for you. In 2008 starting in January, Jordan Brand will release 11 packages of Original colorway Air Jordan's that will be combined by the the two equivalent numbers that equal 23. For example starting of the craze will be the Shadow X's and the Wht/Blk/Red XIII's in January: X=10 and XIII=13 and added equals 23. I'm very excited about these drops because the set colorways for the year are the best us youngsters will ever see again from Jordan and will have OG heads very anticipated for these releases. Drop Of The Month (DOTM)-October 2

No this is not a type-0 and I realize Ive already linked the Huf Air Max 90 as this months drop of the month but there is more to this miracle. Or for most disaster about the early release! The Huf Air Max 1 will also be sold along with the Air Max 90 THIS SATURDAY. For those who have been waiting wait no more the time has come for campouts. I know we were mostly told November to look out for the Air Max 1 but the time has come early. Word is the slated Tier 0 release was scrapped and is now being sold at all quickstrikes retailers. Well rumor also has it that they are selling for $175 and only 12 pairs per store will be sold for each model. I don't know which to choose but I do know whichever I do pick I will be crossing the bridge with a pair in hand.

COMING UP WHERE IM FROM

So I guess the biggest mystery we have kept from readers besides Baca's true identity is where we are from. Well although you might have thought it to be New York it is not but we are indeed in the Tri-State and plan on staying. After a good Friday spent while driving back to the hood we sat and thought of our futures in the great state. Well we might have a couple of years to go before we have major problems to consider but as seniors I guess it was good thinking now. Who knows, maybe packers wont be so far after all and I can finally be cool with an OG collector selling off Air Raids and Reebok Pump heat. I love the NY too much to live there and be bored with it but just maybe right over the "HT" will do for me..well US!

Drop Of The Month (DOTM)-October

For our updated readers here is an anticipated release we all air max fans have been waiting for. If you are not familiar with this release then I guess you don't know about the dunk and air force 1 hufquake release earlier. To sum up the history behind this quake design there was an earthquake in San Fransisco a while back and the makers behind these sneakers are from the city itself. HUF which started as a skateshop in SF has taken the disaster and turned it into a miracle for all sneakerheads. The release of this air max 90 is slated for this month but Kix-files has gotten there hands on some pairs now. Go check them out and If no luck I suggest you stay updated for a date where your nearest shop will get them in. ALso dont forget about the Air Max 1 later in November..

JC ON COLUMBUS DAY

SO this post is definitely an off guard one. Just moments after my last post I got a call to head over to Packers in JC. So like any mad man in the game I linked with the crew and JETTED!! While there we saw the new lace locks which are indeed still on sale and for 50$ you can get your pair. (INSIDER L0L). After Big L bought a UNDFTD tee and PLAY DIRTY locks we thought the trip was over. Then FED-EX dropped off a present. Well I thought It was. Anxious to see we stayed and boasted about sneakers and other topics while they opened boxes. I saw the word Nike blazer so could only imagine good things until Mike opened the most hideous thing Ive ever seen.l0l. I guess because of the earlier pony hair release Nike did with the blazer they thought they could do it again.. but sadly this attempt was just sad. As we nodded our heads with sadness we walked out with hopes Nike will stop BS'n us in the year 2008.

LOCK AND LACE

Well some of you true readers might think I have a beef with this LA brand. Well with the BIRD x ERVING tee I did but it seems I cant hate on them. They do truly good things for the era and they spread vast. Well now they are selling one of my FAVORITE THINGS. Yes, UNDEFEATED has just put out a series of lace locks this past Tuesday and can be found at any UNDFTD retailer. Prices vary and my only wish is I get my fair shares of them before hype breaks loose. With the clips being made from metal I doubt pricing will be out of this world. When I get my bunch Ill let you know from there.

WHAT THE F***

If some of you readers cannot tell what this is ill explain now. The concept, A combination of all the ...(how do I say) HYPED Nike SB dunks that have released in the the previous 6 years. The name, WHAT THE DUNK! It was thought out to be an exclusive only Beast could get there hands on but Ive found different. The shoe will actually go on sale as promotion for the new Nike SB film, NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH. Now my take on the shoe (was) very degrading. But as I saw it as promotion my opinion shifted. I like the concept for the movie and the way they are going by selling it. CITY to CITY when the movie releases in your hood. So I don't object the idea but would definitely if these were set as a regular SB release. Lines would fill and I have an odd feeling you would see something like the pigeon release.

LONG TIME NO POST

You don't have to tell me twice.. Ive been slacking.. hard, but out with the whack and I'm back with more news for your ass. Well I guess ill start with this past Friday and the NYC things we did. We had a half day off school so the only right thing to do is to go to New York. So after the hassle of trains, hunger, and caution tape we were out. The crew once again the 3 musketeers and our objective, ALIFE COURTYARD SALE. It started Thursday but we figured we would still have a chance to pick out some heat a day later. Because Angie broke the news they weren't selling apparel we took our time getting up there. Which we later regret because when we did walk down the line was to the corner long and packed with posers,l0l. An hour and a half later we stepped through ALIFE outside were the DJ was playing classics and the crew was all out spreading love. Dice and Manny, two of the coolest cats at ALIFE were getting there swerve on too with next season ALIFE gear on. Well long story short we came, we saw, and it was filled with GR's and ALIFE everybody Hi's. Here's a peek to see a little of what went down. SALE ENDS this Wednesday so If you can get out there!!
